I am Carolin Betz and I offer quality patterns for everyday favorites made from yarn.
Crafting has been a part of my life since childhood. It all started with knitting. Cross-stitch soon followed, and later, sewing. As a young adult, I practically collected eccentric needlework techniques like spinning, lace making, and tatting.
On this blog, I schare my favorite knowledge with you.

And what about the name?
Well, as it happens, a magical stitch marker lives in my home.
One day, it suddenly turned up. It has its own little nook on the shelf behind my knitting things. I believe it’s quite old and has had many grand adventures. Most of the time, it’s asleep—and generally, it’s rather shy. Sometimes, though, I hear it faintly creak or clatter. It seems to like it when I leave yarn scraps out for it.
And then sometimes, when I pass the shelf… the magic happens. The stitch marker sends me a new idea. I can’t help but pick up my needles and choose the yarn. I can’t stop until the new something is finished.
You might say,
“Carolin, is this really true? I think you made this up.”
Maybe I did.
Maybe I didn’t.
But as for me, I say:
“Thank you, dear stitch marker.”
