Do you need row counters for knitting?
Make your own and decorate them with elegant beads.
This pattern includes two variations:
Row Counter with Color Code
Each ring features a different bead combination. You can read off the beads to know exactly which row you are currently on.
Row Counter with Decorative Beads
The beads are purely decorative, giving the row counter a more harmonious and refined look. Due to the two dangling tail ends, the row counter has clearly distinguishable ends.
Each row counter consists of ten connected rings. When knitting, place your needle into one of the outer rings for the first row. Each time you reach the row counter again, slip the next ring onto your needle. This way, you always know which row you are on without counting or writing notes. Once you reach the end of the row counter, you are on the tenth row. For projects with more rows, you can use multiple row counters or simply move the same one repeatedly.
Skills you need: Simple Rings, split rings, Occhi mit Perlen (explained in the pattern)
Measurements
The row counters are approx. 12 cm (4.75 in) long and fit needle sizes up to 6 mm (US 10).
