Handarbeiten begleiten mich seit meiner Kindheit. Mit Stricken fing es an. Bald kam Kreuzstich und sp\u00e4ter N\u00e4hen dazu. Als junge Erwachsene sammelte ich geradezu ausgefallene Handarbeitstechniken wie Spinnen, Kl\u00f6ppeln und Occhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what about the name?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nun, bei mir wohnt zuf\u00e4llig ein magischer Maschenmarkierer (englisch: stitch marker).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eines Tages war er pl\u00f6tzlich da. Ganz hinten im Regal mit den Stricksachen, hat er sich eine kleine gem\u00fctliche Ecke (englisch: Nook<\/em>) eingerichtet. Ich glaube, er ist schon alt und hat viel erlebt. Meistens schl\u00e4ft er und \u00fcberhaupt ist er sehr scheu. Manchmal h\u00f6re ich ihn leise klappern oder knarzen. Er mag es, wenn ich ihm ein paar Wollreste hinlege.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then sometimes, when I pass the shelf\u2026 the magic happens.\nThe stitch marker sends me a new idea.\nI can\u2019t help but pick up my needles and choose the yarn.\nI can\u2019t stop until the new something is finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You might say,

Maybe I did.
