I am Carolin Betz and I offer quality patterns for everyday favorites made from yarn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crafting has been a part of my life since childhood. It all started with knitting. Cross-stitch soon followed, and later, sewing. As a young adult, I practically collected eccentric needlework techniques like spinning, lace making, and tatting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what about the name?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well, as it happens, a magical stitch marker lives in my home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One day, it suddenly turned up. It has its own little nook on the shelf behind my knitting things. I believe it\u2019s quite old and has had many grand adventures. Most of the time, it\u2019s asleep\u2014and generally, it\u2019s rather shy. Sometimes, though, I hear it faintly creak or clatter. It seems to like it when I leave yarn scraps out for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then sometimes, when I pass the shelf\u2026 the magic happens.\nThe stitch marker sends me a new idea.\nI can\u2019t help but pick up my needles and choose the yarn.\nI can\u2019t stop until the new something is finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You might say,
\u201cCarolin, is this really true? I think you made this up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe I did.
Maybe I didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But as for me, I say:
